Agent Kay Malloy has made a name for herself in the Violent Crime Program in Balti After her assignment in Counterintelligence she finds herself back in her old hometown of New York City Kay and her brother Christopher were raised by their aunt and uncle after their parents were killed abroad seemingly in a robbery gone wrong After Kay is assigned to investigate a possible mole resulting in the deaths and disappearances of Russian double agents she is determined to prove herself But she doesn t know that she s about to put herself in jeopardy as well as the family she loves fiercelyFirst I very rarely read spy novels This book however was about the inner workings of the Counterintelligence Unit of the FBI and the story of Agent Kay Malloy The writer Ms Fedarcyk knows what she s writing The character of Kay is a sympathetic one and her brother Christopher is written well as a ne er do well floating along life with little or no responsibilities Kay continues to bail him out which is a major plot device Though I figured out whodunnit well in advance of the end Fidelity is well written Recommended for readers of mysteries spy thrillers and character driven plotsThanks to Simon and Schuster via Netgalley for an ARC of this book in return for an honest review

An informative and excellent read Especially those interested in FBICIA suspense Hope to see Kay Malloy novels in the futureNote to author With your debut novel you made the initial transition from writing factual reports which consisted primarily of events situations into the writing of novels This is not as easy task as there are than subtle nuances associated with same I once found myself in a similar situation but was not as successful as you may be It was not until years later that I realized what I did wrong and it took the reading of many best sellers afterward to figure it out The primary answer plain simple is descriptive adjectives One can never ever have too many of them especially when it comes to character building surroundings The reader wants to visualize themselves being right there in the thick of things ie perhaps looking at a slightly built man with a dark complexion in a torn olive sweatshirt with wrinkled gray pants faded green Eagles baseball cap leaning against a bent stop sign covered in gang symbols You made a good start though there is some room for improvement in this area

Frolics with the FBII read that the author of this book was chief of the FBI in New York at one time So I guess I had better give this book of hers a glowing review in case I end up on the FBI s most wanted listBut no I intend to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truthThis is a debut novel featuring Special Agent Kate Malloy a great name that slips off the tongue easily like Special Agent Mulder and Special Agent Scully Whether she will be up there with the likes of VI Warshawski and Sharon McCone only time will tell but she as well as Ms Fedarcyk makes a credible debut And I realise I have made an assumption that there will be a series of Kate Malloy books I think that is a compliment it itself isn t itThe author s knowledge of the workings of the FBI elevate this beyond a comparable novel where the writer may have done some thorough research but it is no match for first hand knowledge And I think it is this knowledge that gives the book its strength As a debut novel it does fall a little into the trap of what I like to describe as exuberance and enthusiasm on the part of the writer Those blunter than me might say the book is overlong in the sense that there are patches that don t actively add to the storyWe can engage with Kate uite easily especially when we learn of her family circumstances and I think the book strives to go beyond mere story telling by making us think a little about duty loyalty honour and the choices we sometimes should makeIt is a laudable debut But is there to comeWhizzBreakaway Reviewers received a copy of the book to review

[E–book] Fidelity Read ↠ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Í Jan Fedarcyk Characters Fidelity I have very mixed feelings about this novel which felt to me as though it was written by two people one who supplied the procedural details and definitions and one who filled in the plot and characters There are two stories as well which is than it needed I wish Fedarcyk has either dealt solely with the counter
