I feel that people who are interested in Hindu mysticsm and yoga maybe interested in this narrative This is not an action packed book so if you are looking for guns a blazing then this is not for you It is for the most part a uiet story of a man and his uest It feels somewhat autobiographical in nature especially the beginning half of the book and the protagonist undergoes a major trauma The last third of the book is much magical in nature But is all based in Hindu mythos so also no fairies or dragons eitherI am one person that do not need a huge amount of action in a book I do like tension and to be pulled along into something I do not necessarily understand until the end I feel that the author gave away the fact that he will be the savior of humanity too early There were some nicely written scenes such as the section in the train in the beginning That is very poignant and intense and one get the feel that it was lived through Also when the character is describing what is around him in the cab when he first gets to India The descriptions of the poverty in his naive eyes is also very good I would have liked the novel sped up a bit in many areas and description lengthened in many others especially at the end when the entire world is falling apart I do find the end a bit to neat and tied up uickly at the end
